The Queen as she is referred to by her fan club or the Sun of the Lebanese Song as she has become to be known, the star Najwa Karam was hosted by Rima Njeim at our studios on Sunday, the 7th of June, 2003.

Around 2000 callers stormed our operators but unfortunately not everyone could get through. Nevertheless, the ones that were able to talk to Najwa on air included some of her most dedicated fans, Arab and Lebanese journalists, friends and listeners who were fascinated by her style on air.

Moreover a crowd of the star’s fans were gathered at Sawt El-Ghad's building eager to see Najwa and get her autograph.

During the interview, Najwa revealed that she is preparing an event in Down Town Beirut that she hopes will compensate for her shyness of the media by inviting journalists and reporters to attend. However, she will not talk about her personal life and she added that she will remain silent on the subject no matter what rumors come up. Concerning her new album “Saharni”, she commented that it is the style that she is meant for and that her previous album “Tahamouny”, although youth oriented, did not actualize her purpose in singing. She has decided not to shoot a video clip now but added that it is not out of the question.

The album contained 7 songs which are 'Sa7arni' , 'Shul mane3' , 'ed7ak ledinyeh' , 'Ma2hora 3elaik' , 'El7abeib' , 'Hak el-layali' and 'Ketr Eldalal' .Interestingly 6 songs out of 7 have been composed by 'Wesam Al-Aameer' .
